2013 Provincial Award Recipients Announced

Please find attached below the list of recipients of the 2013 Provincial Awards.  Award recipients were selected after being reviewed by a selection committee comprised of one SOO board member and 2 past sport award recipients.  Congratulations to all who were nominated, and thanks to those who took the time to nominate fellow volunteers/coaches and athletes for their contributions to SOO.

2013 Spring Provincial News Update

Regional Coaches Meetings (RCM) were held in Region 4 (April 25) and Region 6 (May 9).  There was great attendance at both meetings, thanks to everyone who was able to make it out!  The 2013 Spring Provincial News Update was circulated and reviewed at each meeting.  The file is attached below for anyone who wishes to have a read!

Remembering Kenneth Coulter

On December 7th, 2010 Special Olympics Ontario- Kitchener/Waterloo suffered the loss of an inspirational long standing athlete. Kenneth Coulter was remembered this week (February 7, 2011) in a Maclean's article. 

Ken will be fondly remembered by athletes and volunteers alike across Southwestern Ontario for his dedication to the movement and his friendly attitude towards everyone he meet.
