(please click on title to be taken to full post with photos) Central Ontario Region was well-represented on Team Canada at the 2017 World Winter Games in Austria. The district sent athletes in every sport Canada competed in at the Games:

Alpine Skiing: David W. and Mike W. from Barrie, Matthew F. with Collingwood

Figure Skating: Rosie L. from Kincardine and coaches Janet C. from Collingwood and Tracey Z. from Orillia

Floor Hockey: Ryan B. and Adam G. with coach Ron C. from Peterborough

Nordic Skiing: Jacqueline G. (pictured, right) from Central Bruce and coach Hellaina R. from Barrie

Snowshoeing: Jade I. (pictured, left) from Barrie

Speed Skating: Stephen Graham from Orillia
